Life is a game! Just play!!
Naran S Balakumar
“Hari Narayana Gopalam
Hari Narayana Govindam
Gopalam Govindam Gopalam Govindam – Ho”
(Ho is a switch word to relax you)
This mantra says that “Life is a game. Just play”.
Hari is the Prana Purusha – the head of the vital force.
For us, the desires lead our life. They rule our life. Throughout our life, we are disillusioned and disappointed about so many things.
The lower side of the vital force is desire, disappointment and depression, while the higher side is Bhakti.
You desire, but release it to the universe – Hari. Do your duty without expecting any result. Hari says, “I will give you the result”. That is the operating principle of Hari.
In your house, chant this particular mantra. Go to your special room, and chant the mantra loudly and happily.
When you dance and sing this mantra, people might think that you are mad. Let them think so.
Sink with the mantra. Sink with the rhythm on how Hari Narayana Plays the Game (of life).
The life is always about seeking something. Man throughout his life through objects or other persons, seeks divine. The divine is hidden to be sought.
That is the game between the man and the divine.
Chant with joy, and supreme delight.
Govindam means lifting your desires; will elevate your desires and sublimate them. That’s why with the kindness of the divine, he (Lord Krishna) lifted the hill of Govaradhana Giri.
Desire me, I will protect you – that’s Gopalam.
This mantra is as the proverb says ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’.
Govindam will lift you from the karma that is pulling you down.
Safe Delivery
One pregnant woman was travelling in a train.
During late hours, she goes to the toilet. She faints.
When the train reaches next station she realizes that she had delivered the baby. Though, she could not find the whereabouts of the baby.
While doing the search along with the support of the Railway Police, they found the child lying on a railway track, crying.
They figured out that the child had slipped through the hole in the toilet and had fallen on the rails.
Did the mother pray to god for a safe delivery?
How the child experienced the Divine Grace?
Unfortunately, we cannot figure out the answers to such questions.
However, we can be sure that the Divine Order is reliable. It will happen without anybody’s intervention.
Whatever happens in our lives, good or bad has a Divine Purpose attached to it. When we accept the situation, whatever is required, will happen automatically.
Appreciating work situation will get you an increment
Naran S Balakumar
Kiran is working for two years in an IT company.
His salary is not paid on time. Even though he felt irritated about this, he is not able to move forward.
The excuse given to him by his boss is that whatever Kiran is currently learning in this company, he will not be able to learn it from anywhere without paying a huge sum of money for it.
In addition, he was told that he won’t be able to apply that knowledge in a practical environment, which he gets to do so in the company.
I told Kiran, “Your boss knows that you are learning so much stuff without paying a single penny. That’s why he doesn’t want to pay you more. So, thank him daily”.
When Kiran realized it and showed his appreciation of this fact, his boss started paying him more.
Always help is available to us
Naran
We always think that there is help available to us. That is also one of the reasons for not loving our body. As long as we don’t ask for help the Divine will not help us.
If we are not well, we think of going to the hospital and we do not think of the Divine.
There is nothing wrong in going to the hospital, but we have to think of the Divine also and have the belief that the Divine is taking me to the hospital.
Or at least chant that “Divine help is always there for me”.
Now think of those times where you were really helped, from whom you have received help, and when you have received it?
Do not thank that person. Thank the Divine. Only the Divine can make it happen.
Think of Divine or God always, he is always moving around us. However, we do not know how to call him. Do not worry. Just call him and he will come.
If What is going to happen will happen, Why to chant?
Bhavi
In the past, I have chanted, prayed a lot, with full faith in universal divine force. But, I was always told you can’t change anything. What is going to happen will happen? Nobody can change anything.
I still have faith and trust. However, I always had a question in mind then why do we pray and chant the mantras if they are not going to bring positivity to the concerned situation?
Is it fear of something negative happening to us and our family, which brings us, back again to chanting and praying?
Naran
You cannot always get what you want. Sometimes, you can get what you don’t want. These are two life rules, which we have to accept.
It is the mind which plays the game. If something does not happen, we wallow; if something happens, we elate. How long is this elation?
After some time, we need something else and again mental emotional drama begins. It is because we attach importance to the result only and not to the action.
If the action is done, and the result is surrendered, you will remain peaceful always.
Ultimately, what we want in life is either peace or happiness. To get happiness or peace is the aim of all.
Surrendering the result to the hands of Divine only can give you peace or happiness. Chanting or healing aims at changing the mind to accept what is happening.
Best of luck!!
Two sides of the same coin
Naran
In this world you can’t eliminate anybody – that’s the rule
If there is a war maker there is a peacemaker.
If there is violence there has to be non-violence.
I want you, as I need you. In addition, I don’t want somebody else, as I don’t need them.
Where there is a snake there is a peacock. Where there is a lion there is a cow. However, all are inside us.
How to balance yourself in spite of bipolarity?
Balance leads to polarity. If there is conflict between two then there is bipolarity.
We don’t want lion, but we become a lion in some place.
When we want to end violence, we wage a war. To kill terrorists, we send an army. We use violence to kill violence.
How it is happening?
How to make sure this doesn’t happen?
We have to accept what we don’t like as one day you may dislike what you like today.
In the same way, what we don’t want today, may be wanted tomorrow.
How to fix this behaviour of our mind as it’s easy to talk but difficult to follow?
Whenever I am in state of sadness, when I fear, when we feel helpless…then I am not able to do anything. This is the time we need to chant the mantra, “HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA”.
Then we will understand that we need everything in this world and that we need both theists and atheists, and so on.
No motive to do something

I also have an issue, although the article is insightful, when we say that divine is the doer, I am not the doer. It does give a freedom from all the burdens.
But, in this case are we not being deprived of the motive to do something, which comes when we accept that we are totally responsible for the entire situation in which we are.
Would the human being not loose motive to move ahead in life, if he believes that divine is the doer.
I am not, then why should he care if he is doing something right or wrong because then also divine is responsible.
Can you please throw some light on this confusion?
I know I am sounding vague here, but I do loose motive to do something right and become lazy when I remember of this statement.
Naran
When one fully accepts the divine doer concept, one aligns with the higher mind – totally submitting oneself to the will of the divine.
When you do the work on hand as given by the divine, you will do reverentially. Your total concentration is on work. Extend this ownership and you will find others as divine.
Work is divine. Doer of the work is divine. Done for what / the result is divine. Done for whom? That person is divine.
There is only love in the heart. There is only joy in the heart. There is only peace in the mind.
