Adho Merudanda Mudra:
Make a fist by curling all four fingers tightly and extend thumb up, keeping the thumb as straight as possible. Rest hands on middle of thighs with thumbs pointing towards each other.
Particularly for you Lower Back, do the Adho Merudanda Mudra for 15 to 20 minutes. The fingers need not join, while doing the Mudra.
It works on the pelvic area. It locks the energy to the lower back. Thus, this Mudra sends the prana only to the lower back.
You are centered mentally and emotionally. It enhances the water element also.
For dry skin this Mudra is useful. However, for dryness of throat you have to do Movement Mudra.
You can chant “VALLABAM GAJAANANAM EKA DHANTHAM” mantra while doing this Mudra.
Health benefits of doing Vyan Mudra

Keep Index and Middle finger on both the hands forms the Vyan Mudra.
This Mudra enhances our nervous system also. It improves our communications also.
It reduces excess thirst and menses bleeding.
Without any physical problem the body may looses weight. Be in Pran Mudra and then Vyan Mudra, one followed by another.
It can also release pain in any one area of the body. Be in this Mudra and chant “CALM BEAR GLORY DIVINE”.

Index finger touches the tip of the thumb on both the hands. The benefits of doing it are:
- It increases memory power. Chant “SLOW CARE”
- To overcome laziness, chant “GO DO DONE”
- To be mentally active
- This is a good Mudra for meditation.
Liars will not come near you
Liars will be easily exposed. The opposite person cannot lie to you. So, whenever you suspect the opposite person is lying be in this Mudra.
Sometimes, it is effective immediately. However, if you do it regularly, such people will not come near you. They will not be in the vicinity.

This increases the prana in the entire spinal cord. Your entire back is taken care of by this Mudra.
It balances the autonomous nervous system – both sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
The specialty of this Mudra is that it changes acidic environment to alkaline environment.
Acidic environment is always an environment of conflict.
When there is a conflict in the house, your body is also acidic. When there is a peace in the house, the environment is alkaline.
When there is greenery in the house, the whole atmosphere is alkaline i.e., peaceful and good atmosphere.
Because the earth is losing its greenery now, we are acidic in nature.
By being in this Mudra, chant the mantra, “PRANAVA ROOPINI, HREENGARA ROOPINI, SACHITAANANDA ROOPINI, SURYA MANDALA VASINI, NITHYAM NAMAMYAHAM”.
Before watering the plants, dip your hands inside the bucket of water and chant this Pranava Roopini mantra.
The meaning of the mantra is, “The one universal energy behind everything or one universal mother behind every form of energy, I prostrate to you”.
This mantra is very effective to change the atmosphere to greenery. This mantra can help the body also.
When somebody remains single

First love yourself and accept yourself.
For loving and accepting oneself deeply and totally VITAL ESSENCE MUDRA (Hara Mudra) is necessary.
If anybody remains single, the energy of this Mudra or the energy produced by the Mudra is lacking in that person.
That means that childlike innocence is absent and this Mudra gives the childlike innocence.
Doing Two Mudras at the Same Time

I have started the Pran Mudra for 30 minutes daily, keeping the spine straight and I hope will benefit from it in the coming weeks / months.
I do one more Mudra for 21 minutes daily.
I wanted to ask you that should there be a time gap between that Mudra and Pran Mudra so that there is no energy conflict or some other irregularity.
That Mudra that I do involves Gyan Mudra, some Om chanting and is basically done to unlock the powers of Kundalini.

You can do. But don’t think it will unlock your Kundalini.

Do I have to take care of the way I inhale and exhale?
Is there anything else I have to do so that I am in a perfect posture and doing the Mudra correctly?

Breathe normally and do the Mudra in any posture.

Every day I go through heavy traffic to reach my office. At the end of the day I feel I have a stuffy nose and tend to get cold and dry cough very often.

Do the VARUN Mudra for 15 minutes as shown in the picture.
Then do the MOVEMENT Mudra with PRAN Mudra down (Index and Middle fingers touching the tip of the thumb, while placing the ring and little fingers at the base of the thumb, on both the hands).
The Varuna Mudra will discharge the polluted stuff from the lungs.
The Pran Mudra down will act as a Fire Mudra converting the thick mucus to water.

I find my nose gets clearly and breathing gets improved. It also removes my sleepy feeling after having my lunch.

The Varun Mudra is an Anti-Allergy Mudra.
The PRAN Mudra stands for earth and water – when it is more it will increase lethargy, the opposite is Fire Mudra which reduces lethargy.
Mudra to reduce your anger
There is a Mudra to handle anger – ACCEPTANCE MUDRA. Thumb touching index and middle finger right hand, left hand ring finger and middle finger.
When something happens, first we should accept it. We shouldn’t resist and try to change it. First we should do this Mudra.
Instead if we try to change then only the contrary (unwanted stuff) will happen. We can’t change it as we are not doing anything (only divine makes it happen).
