Get blessings of ancestors and avoid nature’s calamities too
The following was discussed during the workshop conducted at Kancheepuram, 2016
Naran S Balakumar
“SHANKARRAYA MAYASKARAAYA SHIVAAYA SHIVATHARAAYA NAMAHA”
Need to pronounce the Rudram properly
During Shivaratri, the Rudram (from Vedas) will be chanted in a lot in the temples.
The interesting thing about Vedas is that we won’t be able to understand them and you don’t need to understand them either.
However, if you can pronounce those mantras correctly, then your mind cannot get diverted anywhere else.
Within Rudram is the Shivaaya mantra mentioned above.
Get the blessings of our ancestors
We need a mantra which gives the effect of chanting Vedas and at the same time, it should contain within four words. This Shivaaya mantra has those features.
What’s the specialty of these four words?
Through these four words we can get the blessings of our ancestors. We will also get connected to them. The connection signifies nothing but our gratitude towards them.
If our ancestors are happy, then devas (semi-gods) also will become happy. Only on the satisfaction of our ancestors, devas will automatically get satisfied.
Devas are nothing but the nature. For nature to be aligned with us, we need the blessings of our ancestors or Pitru.
How to chant this mantra?
In the evening, if you chant the mantra around 5 PM – time of Pradosham, it can be chanted by anybody.
Shiva means peace – Dynamic Divine Calm.
For one minute chant it loudly. You don’t worry about what others will think when you do so.
The second minute you say it silently.
Third minute, just meditate on the mantra.
Shiva is fond of Abhishekam, because he lives among fire and heat. So visualize doing an Abhishekam for Shiva and chant the mantra. It becomes more effective then.

This is the third and final story from Girija.
She was in Uttarakhand around June 14th, 2013.
Just three days before the great disaster, three women came in her dream, announcing themselves as the goddess of the rivers namely, Alakananda and Gangotri.
They warned her they have started flooding from the Himalayas. And within next two days, they will reach Uttarakhand and will create havoc. So, she better leave the place ASAP.
Next day morning, she left that place and reached New Delhi in two days. When she reached Hyderabad, she heard about the floods in Uttarakhand.
Rain Mantra
Naran S Balakumar
Chant the names of the Bach Flowers “SWEET CHESTNUT, WILD ROSE, CHESTNUT BUD, ROCK ROSE” for three minutes within your mind.
Then every day at a particular time, say in the night, chant the names of the flowers. It will bring in good rains. Wherever it is chanted, it brings in good rains. Chennai needs rains.
Come to the center, and chant within yourself.
Continue chanting it when you are at home so that the benefit of chanting it will continue. Chennai needs lots of rain.
The chanting of the mantras is available in a DVD. Please contact center to buy a copy of the same.
Finding fault with myself, government and others
Naran S Balakumar
We always have a tendency to either find fault with ourselves or with others.
Our minds will continuously working on this – say for example, either we will be finding fault with the auto driver or cursing the government.
The day the government releases the budget, we will complaining about the government.
Or we will be watching others criticizing the government. We will switch on the TV and watch experts criticizing the government.
The funny thing is that after the show is over, they will appreciate each other and be on friendly terms. Whether what they did in TV is acting or what they did after the show is acting, nobody knows.
Don’t watch anything happening outside us – in the world. Keep chanting “PRAISE” instead.
Why should we criticize others? Why not we PRAISE others?
Guard yourself against evil

Today there was heavy rain in our city for few minutes. In that time a tree fell down very close to our building, few vehicles are damaged.
People are bit shocked. But all are safe. I and little daughter are also shocked. Though our car is safe, I feel like its miracle.
What Can I chant for safety of our building, people, and our city?

Chant “DIVINE GUARD”
Lalitha
I was chanting the switch word GUARD for a week.
My friend from childhood visited my place.
She gave me a picture of The Mother (Pondicherry). I was simply thrilled as I believe Mother can protect us from any type of evil as she is an embodiment of love and protection.
Divine Peace for Your Country

I wish we all could have a chant to heal the country smooth for political issues and…. surrounding the borders is all enemies. We all Indians pray for quick solution.

Write the place where you want peace. Do the circle method and write AGRIMONY in between the circles.
Chant AGRIMONY by holding the paper on hand daily for 10 minutes.
Or you can download a picture of AGRIMONY (Bach) flower and paste it on the paper, written with the name of the place.
Agrimony is a peacemaker.
Pray daily “Let India and Indians BE OPEN to the LOVE, BEAUTY and GRACE of the DIVINE PEACE”.

One more success story I want to share here.
I read your post and then I went to the verandah. I chanted the Bach flowers’ looking over the sky.
At that time not a single cloud was to be seen and then I came inside. After fifteen minutes, I’m seeing that wind has started blowing and dark clouds have appeared from nowhere.
What I did was I chanted and imagined the sky is covered with Bach flowers names. And after a short-while there was a heavy shower followed by thunder and lightning. The rain was more than expected.
Thank you Naran for giving those Bach flowers name for bringing Rain!
The whole Kolkata received rain just after 15 minutes of just one time chanting the names of the Bach flowers.

Since, the topics of trees have come up. I want to tell about a certain event.
In my work place, we have a very old and large MALAI VEMBU (Neem) tree below which everyone sits and vehicles are parked.
Last week, the entire tree with its base fell down. It made a crackling noise for some minutes before it fell, giving something like a warning, so that everyone could move out.
Surprisingly there was no vehicle nearby. So everything was safe. All of us thanked the divine tree.
Naran
Very good! Keep thanking when you see the trees – any tree on your way.
