How Mind Affects Our Prana?

Anger and worry will reduce the Prana inside us. If Prana is reduced, then your physical vitality will also be reduced.

Within worry, there is fear and sadness. Anger has jealousy, envy, likes and dislikes behind it.

What will increase Prana then?

When you do yoga for example, it will and due to that, it stabilizes the physical stuff.

Prana also can be increased by having certain states of mind.

What are those mental states that increase the Prana and thus our degree of vitality levels?

According to Dr. Mikao Usui – the founder of Reiki, the following principles do that:

  •   Be honest

You should act with your conscience;

  •  Be kind to others – express kindness and love to others.

Even if you see a cockroach struggling to get up from its upside down position, you should help it, to regain its position. This single act alone can increase your Pranic energy thousand fold.

  •  Have an Attitude of Gratitude

For anything good done to us, we have to say thanks; especially for parents we have to keep on say love and thanks as we owe so much to them.

  •  Also say thanks to others – even to your enemy. He will become your friend then. Don’t have vengeance and hatred. They not only will sustain the enmity but will reduce Prana as well.

Even inanimate things like the house you live in – say thanks to them.

How to Get Benefits Out of Meditation?

I want to get the benefits out of the meditation. And at the same time my mind gets distracted.

Will there be any possibility? Or will there be any chance of getting the benefits of meditation, even though there are distractions?

Yes definitely there is a possibility.

All the CDs in the Bach Flower Study Centre are tuned in certain brainwaves.

Whenever a person goes into a deep meditation, or deep meditative level, the brain produces certain waves called Brainwaves.

When you are in deep meditation you go to Alpha, then Theta and then Delta. Normally our distractive mind is in Beta State.

When you listen to the Meditation CD with a headphone, whatever Alpha waves generated will be imposed on your brain.

When those waves are imposed, you will be forced to come out of Beta level and you will be in the silence mode.

In that way, you can silence the rebellious or the resisting mind. That is the only way by which you can do meditation.

 The other way is really cumbersome for every time you have to be careful about the mind, because the mind is a great trickster.

You think that you will be able to manage it, for when you just say ‘release’, the thought goes off.

You feel happy then. But the happy state itself is another thought – whether it is happiness, sadness, calmness, worry, anger or love, all of them is a thought. 

Every such thought has to be released.

Be with your feelings

Naran

Focus on the feeling, with Adi Mudra.

Say, “Yes, there is … (mention the feeling here, for example, a feeling of sadness)”

“I welcome this … (feeling)”. But, can I let go this feeling?

If you get the answer “yes”, then just say, “I let go of this … (feeling)”

Is the feeling is still there? Ask the mind, “Can I let go just 10% of the feeling?” If the answer is yes, then proceed further and let go another 10%.

Still you are unable to come out of stagnation.

Now, observe your thoughts.

Can I release this thought?

If the answer is yes then say, “I release … (thought)”

If the answer is “no”, then ask another question, “Is this thought useful to me?”

“No.” means you need to let go of the thoughts. Release all the thoughts one by one.

Find out which desire is behind the emotions.

Is it the desire to control or change the person or event, or the desire for approval or the desire to feel more secure? Ask the mind again.

If there is desire to control or change ask, “Can I release the desire to control?”

Yes means, “I accept my desire to control but I let go this desire to control”.

Is there any desire for approval? (Desiring for praise, recognition)

If yes means, “I just release this desire for approval.”

Is there any desire to feel more secure? or is there is any fear?

If yes means, “I release this desire to feel more secure; or i release my lack of trust ”

After some time, there will not be any feeling or thought. Peace dawns. Now take the required action.

Simple ways to meditate Part I

Meditation is an experience that nobody can teach you.

Neither can we go to deep into meditation suddenly as it’s a practice and a habit that is formed over a period of time.

Meditation means, to remain silent. Though, thoughts keep appearing.

If any thought is present then it’s not meditation. How to remain thoughtless though?

Remaining silent with releasing techniques

How to remain silent in spite of thoughts?

Mind can cling to picture or a mantra.

Do we have a mantra for silence? There is no mantra for silence.

However, there is a technique to create silence. The technique is as follows:

  • When a thought comes don’t resist it. Say inside you, ‘this is my thought’. Thus, you disassociate yourself from the thought.
  • Then ask the question to yourself, ‘Can I let go this thought?’ It will go. You can also say “release”. Then it will go.
  • Now, there will be at least a one second gap between thoughts. This is equivalent to one hour of meditation. In general, we never have a gap between thoughts. In general we might have ten thoughts in one second.
  • If you do not want the “let go” step, then form your own mantra or word. When we say that mantra, we create a gap between the thoughts.
  • When a thought comes, interrupt it with the mantra and you will become silent. When another thought comes, say the mantra. The silence in between the mantra is meditation.

Need for pranic and physical bodies to be in coordination

Our pranic body and physical body have to be in coordination. Otherwise, we can’t meditate.

If we regulate our breathing pattern or do pranayama then they will be in coordination.

This is because both breathing and prana have the same origin. When breathing is regulated, prana is regulated too.

Pranic body has to be clear of impurities

When the pranic body is clean, then the meditation can be done successfully.

Why so much impurities in the pranic field?

It’s due to the mind. My own sadness and worries create these impurities. With the help of pranayama, one can clean these impurities.

Be Happy and Energetic

Many thanks for all your help to me it has made a difference.

I am unable to overcome my sadness and crying.  I realize I have to accept the situation. I also need to be happy and joyful.

My husband is coming home on 13th for the time my sons visit. My son is coming home on 14th and a family holiday has been planned from 22nd to May 2nd.

I need to be able to handle the situation with a happy disposition and with energy. However, I am very tired all the time.

I wish we could be reconciled and a happy family with love and trust.  

I wish my son is happy-safe, free of addictions, and desire and will to study well. 

I am also starting a business. I wish the energy to carry it through and make it a success.

I am presently at Prashant for a two week of Yoga Ayurveda Therapy.  

I am looking forward to your advice.

Heal Your Heart Chakra

Our life is ruled by three chakras – Basic, Hara and Solar Plexus Chakras.

Yet, beyond them, we manage to express our love. We get close to people. We offer our thanks to all. All that because of one chakra and that is the Heart Chakra.

Heart Chakra is the fourth in line. It’s closer to Solar Plexus Chakra. On the chest, from breast draw a line. That’s the point where Heart Chakra is situated.

It is responsible for creation of heart and blood circulation.

It’s the reservoir of love. This chakra is reflected when we experience joy and enthusiasm with our friends and relatives.

If love is there, hate will be there too. If hate is filled in a place, then it’s a hell. Love is heaven and it increases our prana.

Heart chakra is mentally connected with love.

When you desire to make profits out of relationships (or anything for that matter with selfish intentions), we lose energy in this chakra.

If there is a relationship without a love, then it’s of no use, says the Heart Chakra.

We love our children and parents. We love somebody and hate somebody.

Hatred and sadness decreases energy and then we feel we can’t love anybody. We fight at office. When we come home, we should show love. Instead we fight.

If there is less energy in heart, we feel there is no love in life. We feel sad and think that nobody is there for us. With Heart Chakra, we need to love. Otherwise, we will deplete it!

Even if nobody loves you, love god, yourself, others and the world is the message from Reiki. If we GO for love, then the energy level of Heart Chakra expands and balances it.

When we get imbalanced due to Basic, Hara and Solar Plexus Chakras, then the energy level in those chakras shrink. But in the case of Heart Chakra, it’s never gets overfull. It can expand to any level.

Uncleavable, incombustible, it is not liable to be drenched or dried up; eternal, all-pervading, stable and unmoving. It is forever and forever.

No pain (fire) can kill you; no sadness (water) can drown you; no worry (air) can dry you; no event (space and earth) can break you.

Survival fear is always there in our thinking… To feel secured is the desire of every human being.

In life, relationships make us insecure; our working place makes us insecure.

How to bring in the state of security?

For people who are unstable in their profession…

Who have lower back pain…

Who have fear of death for unknown reason…

Who have unknown fear …

And people who are fearful of in-laws …

And for people who feel unstable…

Listen to the Verse 24 of SRIMAD BAGAVAD GITA, or read it 11 times.

Any audio version of this verse can be looped and listened continuously.

You can paste the verse in paper and keep it under the pillow.

This brings back the feeling of security –the original SAT which is forgotten by the mind.

Things Improve in Life

As describing a flower is never the flower itself, some of the most subtle blessings and experiences lie beyond the reach of expression.

All the good that has come into my life since discovering the various methods offered in this blog are one of those. At a broad level many things have improved.

  • I smoothly did my Lasik and took off my glasses after 27 years
  • Broke my fear of driving and started moving on the roads
  • Joined a fitness regimen
  • Finished a novel
  • My business is picking up
  • Conflicts have reduced
  • Most importantly I have stumbled on many more sources of spiritual knowledge and got into a meditation routine

Of course, I have had my share of deep angst through the year, but I have been able to deal with it much better.

Every time I have been in pain, I either read his blog or have confided in Naran and have found much relief.

Almost every life situation has been dealt with in the blog.  They are practical and can even be done on behalf of others.

What moves me the most is the non-judgmental generosity, devoid of greed in the responses to those who seek help.

Life is so infinitely complex, so limitless is our sadness and there really is so little we can do. When we really, really need help, how comforting it is to know there is an individual and a great wave of compassion that we can turn to.  

There is no way one can come upon spiritual knowledge except by an act of generosity. Therefore with the deepest gratitude not just for myself as a beneficiary but on behalf of all the million views on the blog I will sign off.

Please, please give these methods a chance. Some work, some don’t but keep at it, things will improve. What do we actually have to lose except our disbelief?

Coming out of Love Pangs

Naran

Raja and Rani were good friends and loved each other deeply.  They would meet each other every day and spend time together.  They decided to get married.

Suddenly one day Rani’s father brings a boy who has come from U.S.A. and fixes the marriage for Rani.  Rani respects her parent’s words and agrees for the wedding.  Since there was not much time, the marriage takes place and immediately she leaves for U.S.A. 

There was no communication from Rani.

Raja was shocked when he comes to know about the marriage.  He is dejected in life.  Loses interest in life, grows a beard. 

At this state, for pangs of love due to separation give the Bach Flower Remedy CHICORY. 

Raja will get over his separation and starts to lead his life.

The person who is highly possessive will be sentimental and so a love failure affects him a lot. They will say after their love failure they will not get married as they prefer to live in the memories of their beloved. They might get ready for marriage after taking CHICORY.

Cleanse your mind Cleanse your house

Over time I have realized that I have not made peace with my past and still holding grudges against a lot of people. I understand it is affecting me psychologically, emotionally, mentally and interfering with my daily life, personally and well as professionally.

Sometimes, I feel calm and other times very vengeful. There seems to be no stability in my thoughts and I often hold others responsible for any untoward incident happening to me.

Moreover, the vibrations in my house do not feel good. Specially so when certain people enter the house, stay in the house or leave the house. Nobody at my place seems to be at peace. Even a very patient person seems to lose his cool here.

In fact, there have been 3 to 4 couples who have stayed in the house before us and left, nobody could live in the house with stability and peace.

Naran 

Take the flower remedies HOLLY, WILLOW, CHERRY PLUM and MIMULUS regularly for a few months.

Keep salt (Rock Salt) water in the night, in your bed room. The next day, throw the water in the sink. Do it daily for some days.

Spray the water remedied with WHITE CHESTNUT, WALNUT and CRAB APPLE (3 pills of each in a tumbler of water) on all the walls of the house.

Do this also daily for one month. This wipes out all the unwanted accumulation of our own emotions like anger sadness etc. in the space of the house.

Explanation

HOLLY, WILLOW, CHERRY PLUM, MIMULUS, WHITE CHESTNUT, WALNUT and CRAB APPLE are Bach Flower remedies.

To clean the mind and body of unwanted stuff, salt water is used. Rock salt that is manufactured out of sea water has the capacity to absorb negative stuff.

Cleanse the vibrations of the house: WHITE CHESTNUT, WALNUT and CRAB APPLE. You can do this before and after a function.
